Пришло обеспокоенное письмо из Лагоса, Нигерия. Тамошняя служба экспресс-почты FedEx очень просит меня почесаться. У нее для меня есть пакет, в котором, судя по всему, находится моя дебетовая карта с суммой 2 300 000 долларов США на ней.
Мне иногда бывает лень пересказывать очередную мошенническую сказку по-русски. Пожалуй, я буду это делать через раз или еще реже, а буду просто приводить текст письма на английском (или ином) языке, с минимальными комментариями.
Да, так насчет "моей" карты. "Моей" ставлю в кавычки, поскольку, как это принято у мошенников, моего имени они не называют. То есть, они его просто не знают. Интересно, на карте вместо моего имени чье имя выдавлено?
Карту мне отправил не кто-нибудь, а ООН и Всемирный банк. За какие заслуги, точно сказать не могу. Возможно, это станет ясно из письма, которое приложено к конверту с картой. Содержание письма нигерийцы мне не раскрывают "из соображений безопасности". У карты есть номер! И его мне сообщают с легкостью - видимо, он должен пробудить в моей усталой голове воспоминания о заныканных на черный день миллионах.
В качестве доказательства наличия почтового отправления мне предлагают пройти на сайт FedEx и воспользоваться сервисом отслеживания отправлений.
Послушно иду на сайт экспресс-почты и вижу, что конверт с таким-то исходящим номером поехал туда-то, а потом туда-то... причем, уже давно. Сейчас статус у него - "транзит".
Нигерийские доброхоты говорят мне: ты, главное, не волнуйся. Все под контролем. Никаких платежей с твоей стороны не потребуется, кроме пустяшной суммы в 380 USD (в конце письма она почему-то превращается в 280 USD) за хранение и доставку. Всё остальное - НДС, таможенная очистка, страховка, пересылка - всё оплачено. Имеется даже сертификат, в котором указывается, что деньги не имеют никакого отношения к незаконным видам деятельности. И как только ты переведешь нам эти несчастные 380 (280) долларов, в течение 24 часов ты получишь свою карту в лучшем виде!
Потом добавляют: у нас, вообще-то, есть инструкция, по которой мы не должны писать такие письма. Просто эти дураки из ООН/Всемирного банка забыли приложить твой почтовый адрес, и нам ничего не оставалось, кроме как обратиться к тебе по электронной почте. В общем, давай, парень, действуй!
